I know only one
Willy DeVille song, truth be known, "It's So Easy," which sounds kinda like ZZ Top with an erection and a gram of cocaine. It was used on the soundtrack to
Cruising - that controversial William Friedkin thing with Al Pacino as a cop doing undercover work in the kinkier end of NY's gay club scene. That one song is so good that I feel I must note Mr. DeVille's passing... maybe I should even check out the rest of his catalogue!

Willy's best, his first couple of Mink Deville records and his live recordings, are some of the sexiest rock 'n' roll ever. Like a number of other musicians who did not quite fit with the punk rock crowd (Eddie and the Hot Rods!) Willy never got the support he deserved.
