I wish I'd had a chance to do something for the Straight on this but all the other activity got in the way:
Scythia, local folk-metal D&D types whom I profiled
here for the Straight a few years ago, are now based in Calgary, but are returning to play Funky's April 4th (and the Wolf Bar in Maple Ridge April 11th!). Their new album

Wacken Metal Battle in Calgary, they will be competing against the Vancouver semi-finalist!
