Italian poet and screenwriter
Tonino Guerra has died at 92, leaving a legacy of very impressive films that he worked on, including films directed by Antonioni, Tarkovsky, Bellochio, Rosi, Angelopoulos, the Tavianis, Fellini, and many others. Scanning his writing credits reveals the curious detail that despite being active in Italy as a writer through the 1960's and 1970's, he was apparently never once temped by the spaghetti western!
