Salo on DVD

DVD Savant review of the new Criterion release of Pier Paolo Pasolini's Salo: The 120 Days of Sodom here. It has, interestingly, been given the spine number 17, to correspond with the spine number of the previous, short-lived Criterion release of the film.

    Hahaha! Pesky questioning has revealed that HMV brought 20 copies of SALO in on Tuesday, sold 10 that day, and then - SURPRISE! - they pulled all of them and sent them back on Wednesday, having none on their shelves as of today; they will not be stocking SALO, and it didn't take them long to make that decision...
