There is an archetypal truth to it all - how as we age we become addicted to certain forms of fulfillment and identity, and cannot easily change them, even as we see the cost of our fixity...<BR/><BR/>...all that Passion of the Christ stuff is really annoying, though, since it seems to impose a meaning on the story other than the one it best illustrates. Asking us to feel sorry for Randy isn't the point; asking us to see ourselves in him is... I don't think I'm wrong about this film.
